How much disputing is too much?

I am "going to town" on my credit report. I have been reading this board for a while now and I learn something new almost every day. I recently sent in some disputes and now learned that I may be able to dispute the C/O I have with Providian. It's not that I'm out to dispute everything the stuff that's valid, but if I have a chance, why not?
I have letters off to all 3 creditors to take care of paid items as well as stuff that I have no recollection of (disputed as not mine).
Can doing multiple disputes in the same month, or disputing the same item more than once have an adverse effect? I have only heard back from TU and redisputed Sherman Aquisitions, asking them how they verified because they did not validate from my CRRR letter.
