There are a real law office. They will pursue you legally if you have assets worth going after. If you are not in PA, they will pass the account over to someone in your state. That attorney will have to send you a demand letter with the 30 day validation period before they will initiate litigation.

It can take Byck's office up to 4 months to get validation (i.e. copies of applications and statements) depending on the original creditor. Chase is usually about 2-3 months.
