i have been searching everywhere for the answer to this. my mother in law is in her 70's, she owes OLD property taxes on her house (we have been keeping up the last 3-4 yrs for her, to keep the house from being taken. does anyone know if old property taxes can be discharged (TEXAS) under chapter 7 ? she is on fixed income but she owns the house. back property taxes are about 15,000. as it is, her children have to help her every month. she has alzheimers (sp?) she should qualify easy for chpt 7. the plan is to be able to one day sell her house to cover her xpences for survival, whether it be in a small home or assisted living. of course we want her to have as much money as possible so we can all get some releif from her financial burdens, i have my own problems and will probably file BK for myself.any help much appreciated, or at least a site where i can go to get some answers, thanx, faux
