AMEX is nasty if you don't pay them. They keep a blacklist and you'll never get your name off of it unless you pay them back every single penny you owed them. They do this with people who filed bankruptcy.. forget ever getting any card with them unless you pay them back - even on a discharged debt. At best, you MAY get their worthless Optima card, Green may be possible, but I'd give that one some time.
