Summons from MBNA

I live in NC. Is there a limit to how much they can take from my bank accounts? What if they are joint accounts? My husband is named on the summons only? What are my chances for settlement? Percentage? Can I win the case? I tried a debt eliminator and this is where it got me. Please help!
