Sherman Acquisitions

Any advice? I am in PA. I have only four things on my cedit report left to clean up. Four cards that were

charged off and are still within the SOL. I was using a credit counseling program to pay on them but I

missed payments. That was a year ago and all were bought by Sherman Acquisitions/Alegis. Now that I

am looking into making arrangements I have begun to recieve letters from there subsidiary collection

angencies (FMA Alliance and North ...something, for the Sears). These agencies claim that I not only owe the balance due but also accrued interest. Can I send them a cease communication letter? If I deal only with Sherman Acquisitions do I really have to pay interest or will they usually still be open to a settlement at this point? I was able to reach a settlement on a previous account with NCO Financial and they could be very nasty. Trying to figure out how to proceed any help would be appreciated.
