In your validation demands, you need to ask for a full accounting of the debt, i.e., line by line ledger style accounting along with copies of all insurance claims submitted to (your ins. agency) so as to account for every penny of the alleged amount still showing as past due.

Also call your Insurance agency and get a full accounting from them and see if everything adds up. Also a statement from your Insurance Co. that prior to the Doctor joining the group, he was part of your Insurance network.

The CA would need to validate this debt in its entirety before they proceed with a lawsuit.
