I don't know about criminal charges. You would need to see the lawyer about it. If Mr. Black did not have a contractual relationship to Mr. White specifying that he had authorization to pull the credit report, hence...mortgage broker/friend, banker, etc. then he had no permissable reason to pull the credit report and it is grounds for lawsuit. It is also grounds for lawsuit for slander if he shared that information with third parties who don't need to know. THe question is, Is it worth a loss of this so called friend to sue him?
