Asked CA to send a letter (is this okay?) - CAK

I send a Cease and desist/validation letter (from Why Chat's site). The CA took this off my credit report and then three months later they call. They have left a few messages through an automated voice mail. So I called them and asked them to send me the info in the mail. Is this a good move, as now I would have a written letter, as well as the messages on my answering machine and caller id?
