thanks whychat for your help...the accounts are mine, But the $$$ amounts have increased since with the ca's. i could'nt pay because of unemployment. one acct. is gas card & was just less than $200. Another acct. was switched from TransAmerica to ShermanAcq. while it was current on payments ($530 owed).Due to Sherman's calls after i missed a payment i did not pay them any more payments. after 6 mos. and $300 late fees, they sent it to "NES" national enterprise systems who have continued to add more to the acct. balance (as did "williams&williams"-ca/attorney on the chevron card).
So...do i dispute the amount in my letters and ask to be returned to the oc to negotiate a payment plan or partial settlement maybe less late fees?
