I have a judgment from my providian account. I guess the account was sold to W and A. I never got served to go to court. W and A apparently sent a letter to my old address. The judgment is 2 years old and is now showing up only on my equifax credit report. I need advice on what i should do? Should i call them and try to pay it off or dispute it first? It's the only derogatory thing I have on my credit report and i don't want it on there for another 5 years.
