Why not have it deleted instead. You can ask for validation of any BK account. Send the OC a validation and dispute letter. They won't be able to validate from 4 years ago and won't even want to make an attempt. As you will not want the OC viewing your CR, you will need to add the following statement to your letter. Be advised, that I do not give you permission to view my Credit Profile. The only change you are allowed to make is the deletion of your Trade Line. You have my name, address, SSN No., Date of Birth, and alleged account no., which is sufficient information to validate this account. Please copy me on any correspondence you have with the CRA's you subscribe to. If the OC does not validate or does not delete their Trade Line, then send in copy of your letter along with a copy of your CRRR to TransUnion for deletion.
