Citibank is suing me for app $6000. Attached to the summons was a credit card statment..nothing with my signature..like the signed contract..I answered the summons and expected to go to court. Last week, I get a letter from their attorney wanting requesting a summary juggment. I do not have the $6000 and cannot squeeze out another payment at this time. Is this worth going to court over? Should I just ask for the signed contract? They hired an attorney from two hours away instead of a local one. I'm sure he does not want to make the drive. I am in NC. I cannot be garnished and the bank already owns more of the house than I do. My car is paid for but has 150,000+ plus on it. I have had incredible luck with other creditors working with me to lower interest so I can get the accounts paid off. No such luck with Citibank. After being harassed for so long, I was looking forward to seeing one of these assholes eye to eye...
