Yes, they create a sense of urgency. The last line of their letter states "May we have your immediate attention to this matter, enough delay." No threaten that I know of. I did ask them to validate the entire debt, and they did not account for $47 (I believe that this is interest, fees, etc). If you remember from my previous post, this is a cell phone agreement with a second party (CIngular has waived all charges). I sent a second cease and desist letter and stated that I want validation on the remember of the debt and I received the third letter that stated they have already verified this debt, blah, blah, blah..."may we have...". Do I have anything I can use against them. They do not own the debt, but have been assigned it and it does not appear on my credit report. I live in CA.
