It is not likely that Wells Fargo will do anything either. Just keep sending validation, dispute and C&D letters out. In your validation letters, try to find out if they have purchased your account or have been assigned your account. Sometimes the first collection letter tells you if they have purchased or not. Assignee's are less apt to pursue you than someone that has actually bought your account.
