Hey Everybody, I've posted a couple of times on this message board before, although you probably don't remember me. Anyways, Discover Bank filed a lawsuit against me through its servicing agent Greenwood Trust. I challenged the suit at the initial hearing, and afterwards requested a validation from Greenwood Trust, along with a Grounds of Defense that they were in violation of the FDCPA and FCRA. Today was the follow-up hearing, at 9:15 AM. I showed up, but guess who didn't?!? Yep, the law firm representing Greenwood Trust sent in a fax to the court at 9:20 saying their lawyer was ill. So, the judge said it was a non-suit, although they may file suit again the future. Honestly, I think they're buying time, but it's still a relief for now. I hope this gives some hope to those of you who have suits brought against you. And, I want to thank Why Chat, LadynRed, and all the other helpful posters out there. This website is miracle.
