should I request OC verification???

My reports are all different on 2 CO accounts. All my cards were CO in 1999-2000 yet all my CR's claim these accounts were CO in a vareity of months in 2001. Since verifying through CRA disputes has not fixed the situation and I cannot get a true DOLA would it be wise to request verification from the OC??? The reason I ask is that the CA's ignored my validation requests and I would really like to make sure these are out of SOL before I assume the matter has been dropped. If it is within the SOL I am willing to settle the balances with the OC if they have not sold the debt - thing is the credit reports can't even confirm THAT! 2 say it was transferred or claim purchased and the other says CO with balance owing.... How should I handle these???
