I need some advice on how to clean up my credit report. I settle on six credit cards I had back in 1999. 3 of the six report the info correctly on the credit report but of three just took the money and ran. I have copied of the letters sent for the settelment (not signed by creditors, though) copies of certified checks stating payment was for "payment in full". I had 2 accounts with First USA. One account they listed correctly with CRA's and the other they took the money and sold to creditor's. Asset Acceptance now his this debt and is trying to collect on it. Their on my credit report already. Twice I've gone online with the CRA's to dispute this info and had it removed only to see it show back up a few months later. It's been 4 years and this getting very old. I'm having trouble getting home loans, car loans, jobs, insurance. As you can imagine my credit scores aren't good and b/c this info isn't reported corrected. In addition, all the DLA dates on the accounts are incorrect so that also kicks the scores. What can I do to get this stuff fixed once and for all. If I could afford an attorney I'd sue everyone but I can't so I begging for any help you guys can offer. Thanks in advance for the help and advice. Kind Regards, Trey
