What is this all about?

Today Dec.1 2003 I purchased a copy of my credit report so I could see for myself what was preventing me from credit approval. It listed a company- First Select corporation- as a credit card company. I have never had a credit card from any such company. The balance for the account matches another credit card companys balance, of which I also never had a credit card for. The credit card was dated Sept. 99 and the First select listing is dated April 2001. How do I find out what these are and furthermore how do I go about desputing the charges? There is no telephone number or address for any company listed on the report.
