Settlement is possible and very likely if that is the direction you want to go and you have the money to settle. If your dealing with an attorney for MBNA then I would get an attorney of my own to settle this for you. If you choose to do this on your own, make very sure your agreement says everything it needs to. I have a Mutual Agreement that you can modify to fit your needs. I will post it, if you make a decision to settle.
The debt does eventually go away, some just take longer than others. Hang in there.
