Ok I wonder if any person out there can help with clarification of the siyuatio a friend has got involved with
she is marrried and has anumber of credit cards in HER name- and has debts of approx $45000 on them
she applied for the cards and stated that she was working- in fact she doesnt have a job- but her husbands income was enough to pay off the monthly amounts.
However, her marriage is now in difficultyu and she is wanting a divorce- and her husband has refused to pay any more off the the credit card bills- she has two cars on theses also
Now is her Husband still liable for any of theses bills- bearing in mind that he has had the use and priviledge of the goods purchased by her- she is worried also that the fact that she said she was working -when she didnt have a job- will result in a criminal charge being brought against her- she lives in California- Im in the Uk - and dont know much about the laws there on fraud or her position as she is married and still with her hubby , she doesnt have any income or means to pay these enormous amounts off
I would really appreciate any information as to her position
Thanking you in anticpation 'Comboy'
