Hi thsi is about a 5000.00 Debt from Direct merchants Bank apparently purchased by "Morris and Adelman" I wrote to this board before saying "did I goof up...?" Iwent to my original hearing and there lawyer got me in the hall before my name was called and said surprised actually Oh you showed up as the court was emapty for his other 20 cases. He then said is this my debt I said no, he said lets get a stay or whatever its called ,talked me into it the hearing is now set for Thursday Dec 4th. I told him someone stole this card or whatever and as told on here his board Iwant the original contract and receipts showing Imade all these charges... etc. Anyway since then here is what he mailed me First letter last week- contents :dear Bobby: "Enclosed is our initial demand letter in this case.We sent similar letters to you at )my last two known addresses). Copies of these letters are enclosed as well. During our Nov. 4th conversation (this was in the hall at court) you requested verification of the debt. I will contact my client to obtain all of the avalilable documentation."
Second letter came today December 2nd only one page in the envelope nothing else that said "I enclose the documents my client produced in connection with your inquiry. (NOTHING WAS ENCLOSED!) They do not appear to have access to actual charge records for the account in issue. If you believe your credit card was stolen or used without authorization you have rights and obligations under Regulation Z. (????) I urge you to retain counsel in connection with this matter.
PLEASE TELL ME EXACTLY WAHT TO SAY IN FRONT OF THE JUDGE THURSDAY GOING BY THESE LETTERS. I TRUST 100% ALL I READ AND HAVE READ SO FAR ON THIS BOARD. Thanks again and please reply asap as I must appear Thursday. And thanks again to EVERYONE That has been so great on this board.
