In reading some of these posts, I'm finding that, in several instances, people weren't even aware that judgments have been entered against them until they view a copy of their credit report, etc., long after the the judgment was declared. Is it common practise nowadays for courts not to send the debtor a summons and at least give the debtor an opportunity to appear in court?
