I talked with the guy at that collection agency agency today. The last date of any activity he has is 08/10/1996 and that when the car was "supposedly" repossesed. I checked his credit report and like I said the only thing listed is the inquiry. Obviously the SOL for reporting is up!
BUT.....
I don't want them putting it on his credit now. Espcially with us trying to buy a house. I want to send them a "nasty SOL don't you dare put it on my credit" letter. Any ideas on how to handle this?
