Debt purchasers lack any legal standing to charge fraud. If the original creditor sees fit to charge an account off as bed debt rather than a fraud loss and sells it to a debt purchaser, then the debt purchaser cannot bring up any questions of fraud on the application. Unifund purchases debts and would lack any legal standing to charge fraud. Unifund is a complete scam operation and is affiliated with the Lenahan Law Group.
