civil summons needs answer

Hi all,
I got a civil summons from county court house sheriff.
I need to file an answer within 30 days...what do I answer? I can not pay 17K I am filing ch 7 but have not started yet, need 1100.00 to file...so what do I do, do I answer by saying I am filing, or will that just spped up a judgment...if I don't answer they will get a default judgment & a lien on my house, then my BK will cost even more to remove it.....But I must answer...how? I do owe the 17k but can not pay it, it is charged off, & a CA is sueing me...
