2 Cards, good or bad?

I have a "platinum" card from Capital One with a limit of $300. I just received a card from Household Bank with a limit of $1000. I only have these cards to help bring my credit back up, should I cancel my "platinum" and only use the Household Bank?

I use my platinum by putting about 10-15% of it's limit in charges on it monthly, and paying them on time, so I can up my credit rating.

I'll be doing the same with the Household bank card, but I wasn't sure if having one card was better than having two.
