Use the household card sparingly. I tried the same thing only charging half my limit by buying groceries every month, and paying it back at the end of the month. They lost one of the checks, funny thing was I had proof it was cashed because I had the copy. It took over six months to get the thing fixed and to this day they still have me for a 30 day late on my credit report.
