Could be tough, but it is possible to fight the judgment. You'd have to file a motion with the court giving your reasons for contesting the judgment after the 1 year period for appeals has lapsed. With any luck, you'll be granted a hearing where you can present your proof. I don't know about getting your money back at this point. You may have to sue them to get it back.
