Citibank can sue you. If they do, go to the court hearing with copies of your offers to pay and tell the judge you would like to work out a payment plan. You can often have ajudicaition withheld as long as you keep up the payments. The advantage of this approach is that the court can ok your payment schedule. I have seen judges become quite angry with creditors that refused payment agreements.

In Florida, if you are head of household, your wages can not be garnished.

BTW, once it goes to collection agency, paying just extends the misery. They will settle for part of the balance and then sell the rest to another ca.
