Oh, geez whiz, no. I was never served. This is a NY judgment related to student loans/higher education costs. NY is notorious for sewer service and "we left it at the door... under the welcome mat" service, you know?

I'm close to paying these judgments off. However, because these judgments are close to dropping of my report and I'm now living in WA, I'm concerned that the judgment creditor will attempt to seize my accounts *before* they lose the "bad credit leverage" they currently have, you know?

I don't need that kind of inconvenience. I have other people depending on me.

Another question I have is, does the writ of garnishment (or whatever it's called) apply to safe deposit boxes?
