I just paid off a Sears JUDGEMENT from them...they filed the papers but we made payment arrangements before it went to court. I paid over $1,000 for interest and they tried to tell me they did not make a penny of the money (LIE!) but they WILL put a judgement against you and they are very MEAN on the phone. They will call you at work too and harrass you. They will try to get a payment plan, automatic debit, for an amount each month. IF they offer it to you take it but try to get an amount you can offord or they will higher the amount every time you talk to them. I finally e-mailed the lawyers directly ablut the meaness and I dealt with a lady named Deborah Voss, she is the supervisor. She was nice....IF you get Tammy Brown do not deal with her she is very mean and nasty! They will take you to court, I had a process server come to my door...and I live in Illinois also. if you do have to pay them get a papaer trail though and keep ALL stuff for the fututre.
