Usually what they'll do even if you make arrangements before hand to pay them monthly is to go ahead and get a judgement anyway. Then they will have your a** over a barrel, if you quit making your payments they look for stuff to attach. Believe me I know because that's exactly what Cohen, McNeil, Pappas and Shuttleforth did to me on my Providian Account.
