Send them a validation/dispute/cease and desist letter.

They are not licensed in Fl.
They would have to transfer your account to a Fl. lawyer.

If they did so, and you were sued in Fl and a judgment were obtained against you, it would do no good.

There is complete homestead exemption in Fl., as the sole wage earner, your salary is exempt from garnishment.

IF, they transfer the account to a Florida collection agency, then you should make sure that your bank accounts are joint with your husband's name (and ss#)as primary.

DO NOT pay them a ¢, it will just encourage them and make your account saleable to a Fl CA.
