you are. It is almost a complete joke that all collection agencys do not set some policy to actually train their collectors. Only a complete moron of a collector would have no idea what a validation letter is. Depending on your state it may be legal to tape them without even letting them know. What state are you in? I would get a tape recorder if legal and start taping the conversations. Remind her over and over(and mention the date casually over the phone) that you send a validation letter and telephone cease and desist and they are to stop collection until they provide proof of the debt. Let them hang themselves and have her get a clue. Then when you have enough evidence sue them and her in small claims or find a NACA attorney. Maybe then she will learn what validation is(she probably knows but is playing dumb).
