Here is cotact info for someone who can tell you the ca's status. If they are not bonded, she'll send you a statement to that affect on SOS letterhead for a $10 service charge.

Nanasi has a thread on here about checking collection agencies in TX.
I forgot what the thread is, may I suggest a search? But to sum it up, you can email a lady by the name of Ms. Weston @ [email]nweston@sos.state.tx.us[/email]
and she can tell you whether these companies are bonded in Texas to collect. She is VERY fast with responses....so if you email her today, you'll most likely have a response on Monday or when she gets into the office.
