OK, thanks for the references. In my validation letter, I didn't make them aware of my rights, as it says in the original letter from the CA that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days. That's all I did. I didn't do any kind of C&D on them as that would force them to either return the debt to the OC or sue me. It would also show that I know about the FDCPA. How do you stall them and why is this preferable to the alternatives? It would seem that they would have to do something before the SOL runs out.
