The phone company that has been bought out, should discount their's 50% or less. Always start at a discount of 75% on any collection and they may accept or they may offer a different discount.

Providian in varioius collections, I would attempt a discout of 75% they will probably respond with a 60% discount

Are you late on AMEX and Bally's?

Make your offer in Writing and always ask for deletion of their Trade Line and Inquiry in return for (your offer) and a written agreement that they won't sell or transfer off any remaining balance. Additionally, ask for a paid in full receipt. Make sure the person signing their name from the CA has the authority to do so and make sure they have their signature notarized. They may ask the same of you.
