You stated that you wanted the CA to "validate" your debt. You needed to buy some more time after failing to pay in the first place?

Ultimately, you get a call for the OC and pay a settlement. Funny, they didn't "validate" your debt... why was that? You obviously knew you owed the debt. Hell, the CA could probably settled the account and you could have saved everybody's time.

Save the "validate my debt" cop out for people who are truly disputing the debt because of a fraud issue.
