I am new to the forum and I must say I just love it. Ive read a few questions and the people responding seem so knowledgeable. So thank you on behalf of all of us so confused.
My questions...
My credit rating is 597, I fall in a poor category. My debts on my credit report, though, only total approx. $5,000. One credit card revolving one paid off and one account is overdue rent on an old apartment that I am making regular payments on ($2167 of the $5000). I may be laymen saying this but my credit at 27 years old doesnt seem that bad. (1)What I am wondering is - is it normal that I cant for the life of me get a car loan. My boyfriend says SOMEONE out there will give me a loan but everywhere I go I am turned down. I am getting really discouraged. I want to buy a house within 2-3 years and I am worried it will never happen. (2) Do you think I will need to file bankrupt with only $5000 debt or is there a path to fixing this myself quickly. (3) Also, If I file bankruptsy how long will I have to wait before I can get any loans again.
I really have no clue about any of this. Any answers would be GREATLY appreciated.
