Those guys bought a disputed debt! Then they have presumed you owe the disputed, unsubstantiated, debt without any proof and have come at you with their debt related allegations. These guys are flirting with defamatory libel and probably should be written up and charged via Federal Court for 18 USC 1341 (Frauds and Swindles). They need to produce the original note in original condition with no endorsements and all agreements you have signed with them. Guess What? You have no contract with them and they have no recourse with you. These guys need to get sued in Federal Court where the penalties are quite a bit more expensive than a FDCPA Violation. They can never assume the role of Creditor on this account. They are nothing more than a 3rd Party Debt collector meddling in your private affairs.
