CAK: Certainly not disagreeing with you. But i just dont understand. Assett Acceptance is a Collection agency. They purchased the debt from Providian. The account is closed with providian. Providian is the OC. I am so lost on this, can you explain by what mechanism they (Asset Acceptance a third pary debt collector/collection agency) would have permissable purpose? I have been reading up on some FTC opinion letters and still not clear on the matter, so I thought to get enlightened in this forum. Asset is not the OC, I have no contract with them! I have never paid them. Help me understand why they would have PP with or without any any close affiliation with the OC? I appreciate your comments! Marv
