In the Superior Court of California, Alameda County, Asset Acceptance LLC filed suit--BG03108994--Complaint for Money and Damages, on July 29, 20003. The Plaintiff alleges: 5. Plaintiff is in the business of purchasing delinquent accounts receivable, including the transfer and assignment of all legal rights thereunder. Plaintiff has purchased from Various Issuers MCM/Wells Fargo ("Assignor") Defendants account referenced in this action. Plaintiff is the current owner of this receivable and all rights to pursue collection from Defendants for this purpose. 6. Defendants applied for credit from Assignor. Said account was issued and Account Number 5496096....assigned ("Account.") 7. Defendants used the available credit on the Account to purchase goods and services and/or to take cash advances. 8. Pursuant to the terms of the written Agreement pursuant to which the credit was issued, monthly statements were sent to Defedants which itemized all payments made and charges due on the Account. 9. As of 05/09/2000, there was a balance due on the Account in the amount of $11877.56. Pursuant to the written agreement between Assignor and Defendant, interest accrues thereon at the rate of 23.00 percent per annum.
