If Sears sold the debt or their CC operation to CitiCard, then Sears would still be the OC, as that never changes. What you need to find out is whether or not there is a Collections dept. within Citicard, and if it is being handled internally by their collections dept.

A Trade Line is just the OC's or the CA's listing on your CR.

The letter you sent is not a C&D letter, unless there is more to it, not posted.

I would send another letter such as the one I described in my previous post worded as you see fit.

What do you want Citicard to do? Do you want them to C&D? Do you want them to settle with you? Do you want them to correspond with you only in writing? Or something else? At this point I would consider Citicard a debt collector subject to FDCPA and FCRA.
