There’s a Massachusetts lawyer doing battle with the “Cadle Company” another purchaser of bad debts that claims it is not a “debt collector.” These purchasers evade licensing requirements by this claim. Contact that attorney and find out his tactics. He had a personal beef with Cadle and brought them to court as a class. Keep at it against Asset with your banking commission. They are using the same excuse that they are not a debt collector.

Asset’s own web page describes them as ” To be one of the leading purchasers, managers and liquidators of DEFAULTED consumer receivables.”

Business fact sheets list them as DEFAULTED debt buyers.

They don’t purchase ‘good’ accounts.
