quick question about cred report

i have a loan through beneficial for $8k for 5yrs, just obtained the loan,,, if i pay it off now (after a month) i would owe about 8100 but on my credit report, it shows a balance if the loan goes through the complete 5yrs ($13k)... shouldn't it reflect a current payoff balance? thanks
