The case law I cited may have referred only to a foreign Country, but the statutes in Fl., and MOST States carry over on the principle of "comity". So yes, you are correct, it is very difficult to find any caselaw citations on many topics as they never get to a Court of Appeals, but are usually decided at a lower Court level or by an Administrative Judge, (when the lower Court makes an error).

Just as in SOL, this defense must be raised in Court to prevent the entering of a NY or Conn. default judgment.
