I filed a motion to modify my alimony in July and my ex-wife was served July 31. She has tried to garnish my insurance disabiliy, but has failed. Now she is trying to garnish my SSDI. Can this be stopped? Also, I need a court ruling to show that the alimony is not accruing. The judge has the discretion to stop the alimony at the modification hearing, but won't now. So, I still have to pay alimony even though I can't afford it. I was already held in contemp for not paying.
Any court rulings in any state would be helpful.
Thanks
