Do not worry; I have heard of companies in financial services and other positions where you are DIRECTLY involved in financial transactions, being the ones which do a credit check. Other than these kind of positions, do not fear about credit checks. Staffing departments are wary of any hiring decision which could be seen as potentially discriminatory, and most companies stop at a background check. Drew sounds like a collection troll to me.. LOL!
