The problem is other companies take you more seriously with an attorney. Since I did not care about the money I sued experian small claims by myself and won $1000. However, if I had an attorney the judge probably would have given me 10 or 20 times that amount considering I had them on over 60 fcra violations. Of course, the judge had no clue what an inquiry was and that kinda sucked and I think he thought that fcra had a 1k cap like the fdcpa does. Good thing I am gonna sue again for the same thing and this time I will use an attorney. It will probably be a year though before I get a decision so I will let all know the difference.
